Fuddster
Hi all, just after anyone's view of the Brocock PCP range. seen a aimx single shot for £350 new-only downside is 30 shots per fill. any views appreciated cheers fudd
covlocks
For target shooting the Aim-X is great. Lovely consistency, and at the high end of the legal power, as opposed to the 3lbs (ish) that most are at. If you want to be up in the top end of the power rating, and want it for vermin, then the crossman pistol (i think its the 2240) is a good deal cheaper, although you are very restricted as to what sights you put on it. The legal aim-x pistol shoots below 6ftlbs.
will8371
hi i have a brocock hunter thumbhole in .22. it has the brocock silencer on it and is very quiet and deadly accurate. it is very light and well balanced too so with a sling i am able to keep it steady for long periods of time without resorting to a bipod. i recently sent it back to brocock for a service which cost 40 quid- i had bought it second hand from another forum, the seller had neglected to tell me how serious the leak was as mentioned in the ad. i was very annoyed and felt scammed, but that 40 quid was the best money i have spent in ages. the leak has been completely fixed and the brocock engineer replaced all the seals and o rings. i now have a very accurate multi purpose rifle which bangs out 60plus full power shots at approx 11.35ftlbs. it now takes the place of my aa s410 whenever i go hunting -even though its single shot, i prefer shooting it. unfortunately hunters are no longer made, but if you get the chance to get hold of one for a good price, jump on it. alexr
I've used a hunter briefly. Was thinking about getting it for my son to use. It was a nice gun at a good price ( in reality a lot of PCP for your money) . But in the end he decided on the AA S410. I think simply for the multishot option, despite being told that on the whole you don't get a second shot so quickly that you need it. Having said that I do like the notion of "five rounds ...rapid" when I get to take it to the range.
