BlaserF3
I used to have a 597 years ago and is was not that good compared to the Ruger 10 - 22. If you want a good semi try Rimfire Magic for a customised rifle.

BlaserF3
i had one years ago, but went back to a bolt action. I think that unless you shot at competitions for semi autos, most shooters go back to a bolt action rifle, they are a much better gun. Katash
From what I've heard the S&W M&P 15-22 is the best M4 copy but Umarex are due to release a fully licenced copy of the H&K 416 next month, looking like its going to be a winner .... Probably be pricey tho. Ruger also do a M4 copy called the SR-22 but that is essentially a 10/22 action in a military stock, no last shot hold open. Katash
Try Guntrader for prices, but as the SR-22 proves, you pay a premium for having a military looking stock Check out the Sig 522 - Apparently THE best military look rifle around, not just simply a basic S/A action shoe-horned into a cheap airsoft stock like most of the rest.
