Waiting for the rape

Went to the fields were we have had some good bags on clover, on friday anyway to cut a long story short after 4 hours not one pigeon came our way so we packed up and went to see how the rape was coming on, pigeons all over the place, in the trees, on the wires, even shot 2 while we were standing by the land rover. They know its about to be cut, I am sure, thought they may have found a patch that had been knocked over but they wern't landing any where just hanging around.

cant wait to get in there when its cut.

Ive never seen pigeons just hang around, it conjours up stupid a image like them leaning against trees.

same here area we shot today the rape is shedding seeds its that ripe so it has to be cut tomorrow or tuesday if no rain.
