docholiday
Well really hacked off, they have just cut our rape so went out in the defender lamping last night, Had crushed the cigar male connection so replaced and soldered a new halfords replacement on the lamp , lightforce 170, first hour ok then a funny noise and no lamp, took the connection out of the cigar holder and the end had melted, ok used the spare but no light so after changing fuses in the landy we eventually packed up, checked the spare lamp thats working ok so it must have damaged the cigy lighter connection on the dash 1 why does the light around the ciggy lighter come on but the thinkg wont work anybody else replaced the male bit on the lamp and had simillar problems doc
al4x
is your lightforce one with a fuse in the fitting? Personally what I've got and its only because it was fitted already but a direct fused feed from the battery to a switch on the dash then from there it goes back under the truck to the rear bed and I've hacked the cigarette lighter attachment off and connected it with a chocolat block type connection. Solved the common problems and can isolate it from the drivers seat
