olddogfox
Hi I had a good day with a friend yesterday. We had 96 pigeons/ 1 feral pigeon and four crows on barley stubble. The best think about this is that we shot them using 28 gauge shotguns. I used a Benelli 28 and my friend used a Perazzi in 28. I have to say that I am impressed by the 28 on pigeons over decoys. I have not had this gun long ( two weeks)and I have shot the best part of 200 pigeons with it and I have never felt that I need more gun. Do any one else ever use a 28 gauge for pigeons. olddogfox

Degalle79
I seen a shotgun slip the other day in a gun shop with an inscription showing a guys name, with a total of 10,800 odd pigeons/doves shot in argentina with a 28 gauge, it was a world record seemingly, i do not know if that was a days shooting, or continuous over a few days, but still some shooting with a 28 bore. I don't know much carts cost vis-a-vis 12 bore though.

M ROBSON
I've seen some good shots using 28 gauge. One guy had 90 on a winter rape field a few years back and was shooting them stone dead out to 40 yards. Cheers, Mark.
