John_R
I just bought one, brand new. So far not had a chance to use it, been tied up setting up the .243! I ran a tenner through the gap between barrel and stock, and I reckon it feels tight. Does the synthetic stock sand down OK?
welsh warrior
how is the seam with the stock ive seen some and it looks shaby... why would you sand the stock?
John_R
how is the seam with the stock ive seen some and it looks shaby... why would you sand the stock? To float the barrel you sand the stock where any contact is occurring. On a wood stock it is easy enough, do that and seal with some varnish. As for the seam, I dunno, it didn't stand out so much it put me off, and I bunged it in the cabinet and went out to setup/zero/run in the .243, haven't even looked at it since. I had been out to buy the centre fire, and grabbed the HMR at the same time. I'll deal with the HMR soon enough.
