Ive found the piers great if they go out far enough and in deepish water fine, but the beaches will still produce fish if you have a good cast ? talking 100plus yd cast or get on a rockend at low water. Deep water areas best, Watch for telltale signs GULLS diving feeding on spratts and if you see a shoal of spratts jump ! cast into them. Best of luck !!
