what cartridge

just starting to kit up for pigeon shooting on my farm and wondering what cartridges are best to use and the cheapest way of getting them( cant you tell im a farmer) thanks in advance pete

i use gamebore clear pigeon 30gms 5 or 6. also use rc sipe but these are pricey. there is a bloke in the north east who has started making his own, have sampled these and they are good(dont know price) he is called proper cartridges, just google it. :look:

proper cartridges are 30gram 5.5 shot size at £5.00 a box, £95.00 for 500, or £180 per 1000

We're using express 6/30gr at the minute, doing the trick nicely.

 

Incindently I'm using 6 28g through the 20b and doing very well.

Exspress pigeon special 30grm 6's that's all i ever use.

Hull Special Pigeon 32g 6's in Fibre or Gamebore Clear Pigeon. I would say the Hull are softer on the shoulder but either through a semi are fine.

 

I would suggest 5s if you are taking them way out or on high flightlines.
