killer_pigeon
have a mate (without a computer) wanting to buy a trap gun, he's more or less decided on a Miroku mk38 or browning ultra XT. (12g) i dont know much about them so thought i woudl ask on here. I suspect they are both made in same jap factory next to winchesters Any help or advice would be apprecaited thanks
Gordon R
You are correct. They are both built by Miroku in Japan. I have owned 2 x XTs and 3 x Miroku MK 38s. I still have a Miroku. As they are basically the same gun, there is little difference:- XT - grade 3 wood and a lack of engraving. Ventilated rib between barrels. MK38 - engraving and wood start at grade 1. Solid rib between barrels. Both are excellent, but you get more gun for your money with the MK38
VicW
Derek Lee,an excellent dealer, in Lincolnshire has a good deal going on Miroku trap guns at the moment. See his advert in the current issue of Sporting Gun or phone here 01526 354505. I endorse Gordon's comments. Miroku are probably the best value clay gun on the market. I speak from personal experience. Vic.
Gordon R
I would also endorse what Vic says about Derek Lee. Had some dealings with him - very honest, cheap, helpful, with some very good guns.
