Hi all - Possibly looking to upgrade current gun to a Beretta and was just looking at my local gun shop website - A.E.Clarkes in Blackwater, Camberley and they are offering 15% off the RRP of all new Beretta's, Lanber's and Benelli's at the moment. Not open today unfortunately so might pop in there tomorrow to check it out in case there is a catch. Looks genuine on website though :good:

You are right there is always someone who will do it cheaper. Its a case of doing your research I suppose, that said and depending how much you will save, when compared with a RFD transfer admin cost (I was charged £30 for the privilege once) or the travel costs to go an get it. The time spent doing that.

Taking that into account, supporting your local retailer does play a part in it. Too many are closing, didn't the one in Twickenham close down recently?

Anyway each to there own, thought it would be good to share with everyone, you never knwo ti may be a good deal.

Aye sounds about right. My local RFD is always atleast 15% below RRP and sometimes more. You'd be mad to pay the RRP!

You might find better. Have you looked on guntrader for new guns?

Hi apache - Thats sounds good though, can you tell me who your local RFD is, may be worth me having a look see. Ta

Hi,

When i bought my AL391 Urika Teknys Stonecoat a few months ago they were one of the dealers that quoted me on it, I was originally quoted for the wrong gun by another RFD in the area and Clarkes quoted me for the correct gun which appeared more expensive.

Anyway I ended up buying the correct gun with a new price from the original RFD due to the fact that GMK only had one in stock in the UK, if i had waited and gone back to Clarkes their quote was about £80 cheaper rather than saying to them "get it for me".

They (Clarkes) have a new owner who has been there a few months and i wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future, if they started stocking Gamebore Super Steel 24g 9's they would see me a lot more frequently to be honest i'd rather have bought from them.

Jon.
