pigglet
Naper gun cleaner and lubricant. Give the barrels a spray, leave for 10 minutes then a good scrub and patch through. Job done

Graham M
JB Compound is actually bloody good stuff, and the discoloration is probably the metal being polished too much. You mustn’t use it every time you shoot because although they say it is a non abrasive paste it does cut the copper out really well and could (IMO) be too abrasive over a long period. It’s a bit like polishing your car. You wouldn’t use “T” cut every time you polished it. Same with JB, only use it once in a while, say after 200rds CF or 2000rds RF G.M. BigG
Are you using plastic wad. If so you get a small amount of plastic left on the bore every time you shoot, we are talking micron thickness I am sure. Each time you fire the gun another small amount is deposited. My solution is to plug the choke end with kitchen roll spray down 009 then leave in the cabinet overnight. You will see small bits of black that look like paper hanging off the barrel, this is the plastic. I cant take credit for this tip as I picked it up from Alan Rhone! Good luck. If you are using fiber wad then elbow grease with 009 is my view.
philfishers2
.......I do use plas wad at a cpl of clay shoots I'll try the parker hale 009.......seems to be well recommended.....besides its half the price of the bore cleaning compound  if that fails to move it.......I'll buy the compound n see what that does cheers Phil Edited August 16, 2010 by philfishers2

Its got an odd smell though which reminds me of something, but i cant remember what.Perhaps you might know when you've got a bottle?
