JamesLeic
Hiya You may also want to look up Altberg in Richmond, Yorkshire. They do bespoke boots, where you decide on the leather, lining, sole etc (and cater for the wider foot) - work out no more expensive that Meindl etc. Downside is it takes a few months and two fittings. I had a pair made 5-6 years ago for stalking/walking etc and still going. Alterberg also do a repair service for boots. Cheers Seconded however they also do a custom fitting service if you dont want to wait for a full custom boot and that can be done by appointment on the day and they will steam the boot to your foot taking into account bunions or any other nasty's you may have all their boots have a refitting service have a look at their website (just type altberg in google) specifically i would recommend their warrior mark 2 boot, very flexible and cosy. Also Bridgedale socks are excellent aswell as far as socks go. Edited August 25, 2010 by JamesLeic
