Decided to sell/swap my 6 month old Escort semi. Its a 3 shot 12 gauge with a walnut stock and multichoke. Its also fitted with a Hi VIZ sight. The guns in absolutely superb nick but i've decided to go back to a O/U.

I was looking for £260 or swap for a O/U of similar value in as good condition ( Lanber or similar?) Prefer 12 bore but consider 20b.

Anyone interested please get in touch and it goes without saying but i'll say it anyway, SGC holders only and a face to face deal.

Regards

Nelly if it needs to be face to face then we need to know where you live. Not Given doesn't give much away.

Also a couple of pics will help you sell.

It's January everyone is skint try not to make it harder than it alrady is. ;)

Lastly ............................ good luck with the sale.

I have never heard of them, so did a google search earlier today, and found hardly anything other than a couple for sale for £200 each.

At this price i would think that they are comparable to Investarm or Baikal (both ok, but thats all) , so what you get is what you pay for in my opinion.

Anyone else???

They are made by Hatsan of Turkey and in my opinion are of a better quality than Baikal. I've had not a hint of bother no matter what the weather or what cartridges are used.

Sorry about not putting the location i live in Sunderland in the North East.

If anyones interested then i can e mail a photo direct.

Finally, if you can genuinely buy one new for £270 then i'll just keep it as i don't want to rip anyone off!

Cheers.

post us the pic as i'm sure many would be interested to see what they look like.

I suppose the problem is that you can get a s/h beretta 301 for £250 or a 303 or 390 for about £300-350 and most tend to stick to the big names in semi's like beretta or remington etc

Yep, i'd have gone for the Beretta every time, cos it would have got its money back when i came to re-sell.

The warranty is very tempting, but the beretta's and remi's are very repairable with loads of cheap spare parts should they ever be required, and the money you lose on a lesser known, but new gun, you lose at resale, which just makes the warranty very expensive.

Good luck though matey, its still a cheap gun for someone

You're right, and that's why I would have gone for the old beretta, not a new one, but it's all choice and sometimes its nice to have something brand new.

its how the gun dealers earn their keep

Hi Nellynic

I'm half interested definitely mate. Trouble is I'd be doing it to realise some cash. I have a very very nice Browning B425 30" multichoke ejector O/U but I'd want to swap and get money too. It's a G1 but looks close to a G2 for the most part. Nice wood and engraving.

If your ceiling is a straight swap and no cash though, then much as I'd like to I can't help you out there.

Jonno

Where from?

Why are you looking to buying one ?

Jonno

Just interested? I have used one and had no problems with it. Not as nice as my beretta 391 but a lot cheaper for leaning on dry stone walls and dropping in ditches.

Kirklees where selling them at about that price middle of last year

Alternatives to Hatsan -

The stoeger are also turkish but use the benelli inertia OS

Also another turkish manu shotgun

The graining on some of these shotguns I have seen is quality timber
