JKD
Hi guys, just getting a few wood pigeons with my air rifle and have eaten 3 lots of breast, and it's delicious but I'm not sure if I should soak them for a while in salted water, like I do with rabbits. I've cooked them either the same day or the next, in an olive oil/garlic mixture with some seasoning and they tasted gorgeous, but will the taste improve if soaked and left longer? cheers Chris
Beardo
Never heard of anyone soaking pigeon. You can marinade it in herbs and oil or wine
rimfire4969
No soaking, cook them very hot and fast, i love them sliced thin on a salad still a bit pink. As Nick said marinade them oil and herbs fantastic.
JKD
Thanks fella's, that's exactly how I cook 'em Have seen that some people do brine soak them, but didn't want to waste a good bit of meat if it wasn't necessary Cheers again Chris
