Hi Dave

I'm not a member but shot there yrs ago with a member using pistols both rimmy & centre fire in the quarry.

Yep I would like to come over sometime, just PM me. On the estates it all a bit ristricted by the keepers but we could meet up and see, could give you a drive around. We are soon going to be busy with quad-dogging trying to hold the birds.

Saturday I should be off to Stratford to pick up my sons new bike a XT660R, as he had only just passed his test it was a case of Dad could you 'test drive' it for me - no prob son :good: In truth I hadn't rode a big bike for many many yrs - ended up with a near 'out of body experience' - modern injection bike engines. Met him up around the corner from the shop and gave him a ride on the back - pulled a 'wheelie' (by mistake). Being ristricted for him - and for safety insisted he puts me down as a named rider on his insurance

Ok sounds good, would be nice to arrange a meet up somtime. I am usually over the club on sunday mornings. Id definitly like to see your estate, if its not too much hassle ovcourse

Good luck with the bike testing! I'm a biker myself, been riding a while now. love my kawasaki zx6r

Dave.

HI Oxon 88

off tomorrow to pick up my son's XT660R - (bit odd on numbers the R - model is in x-country spec & the X- model is the super moto road bike). There we go x2 factors in common - bikes & guns, I'm a bit out of touch on modern bikes, once you have been into bikes it never leaves you.

My son is well impressed with your 'Ninja' - do you go into the 'Crown & Tuns' as my son works there some nights?

Maybe around Sunday morning but having problems sleeping at the moment = puppy. Another all black working cocker but this one doesn't like being on it's own, so is up stairs and like a baby is up every few hours, so we are dogged out.

I will PM you my details and maybe meet up soon.

Hi all,

Just a quick message to say hi - I am based next to Wallingford (Brightwell) and work near Reading.

I've been to Churchills shooting ground and another near Oxford for a couple of clay lessons. Just picked up a FX Cyclone for my birthday thats coming this week after missing my old Webley PCP.

I used to be a member of Marlow gun club a few years ago but stopped as headed off to university!

Hi- cheers went there today and they tried to fill it but there were some issues:

1. They said the valve was broken as the valve shut when they try to fill it- I think this might be to do with a non-balanced valve?

2. They did not seem too keen with carbon bottles

Anything else in the area?

Fill your cylinder / bottle while you wait.

Its in a fairly posh residential area, took me a couple of drivebys to find it but I think they now put a sign out.

Only other place is Ottmoors in Deddington - they has a 2 stage compressor, but might be worth double checking he will fill while you wait.
