Cosd
Having used the Sillosocks successfully now for almost a year, I have noticed lately that using them on short stubble or even flat ground that the birds are not convinced by them. Admittedly the days weren't that great for decoying even when these were replaced with shell and flocked decoys. Though they stand out a treat in longer crop, they do look rather too "bling" when out on turned soil for example. Is it me or are these better when used in longer crops rather than short or no crop? Before anyone jumps in to say the real birds are the best decoy, I accept that, but on the same token I think the majority of people decoying do use man made decoys to start the day at least. What say you?
activeviii
Yes i noticed the same last year, hence the reason i sold them as i was getting a better pull with flocked shell, i had the same problem with hypers as well so i sold them as well.lol. I have home made hypers that are toned down a bit more and that what i use to start the day. but you cant beat real birds. hehe... Phil.
