Me and my mate have got 3 lightforce 170 lamps and they all keep burning the plugs out, they are getting to hot. anyone got any ideas how to stop it? cheers john

I tape the cigarette type male/female plug up tightly together with insulating tape-a dodgy connection here will cause them to burn out. Good lamps but **** connections/wiring! Most people modify the wiring with better connections.

Remove the plug and just use crocodile clips unless you need to run it from your motor. Ive got 3 lightforce lamps only 1 of the 170's still has the lighter plug on it and its never been abit of bother in the years Ive had it. The 240 Blitz I removed the plug and fitted crocodile clips and it has been perfect ever since.

I have to agree with the post above and I use two crocodile clips straight to the battery with no problems
