WGD
Pulling the trigger without the means to recover shot and particularly wounded game is irresponsible. And that means having a dog of your own or in your company when you shoot, end of. I am not saying ever shooter should have a dog, that can't happen for a variety of reasons, but every shooter should be in the company of a dog or dogs to ensure game is collected. At times it's not about enjoying the dog work, it's about the dog doing a job we can't. I don't enjoy it when a dog hots up and needs handling so you can't concentrate on shooting, or when a dog runs in and you can't correct it. But the game comes to hand.
