Wet and windy

Had Batch of pw contact me a few days ago asking if i had any days free and we went for today i knocked a bit off the day as he is a pw member and it was nice to fill the day .

He arrived on time but the weather was shocking ,******* it down anyway off to the field a wheat drilling which had been drilled 2 days before with alot of seed on top as it was drilled straight in to rape stubble .

Few birds on when we arrived but still ******* down so sat in the truck till we gave up and setup at just after 9 am .

Wind was strong at times blowing the hide all over . I could hear he was getting some shooting from the off and i was doing me bit by walking some nearby fields to keep the off and moving . The rain which kept coming and going slowed the birds up a bit but still i think he enjoyed the day .

He finished on 14 woodies 24 ferals a magpie and jackdoor

Cheers for the write up Tom :good: I did indeed enjoy myself despite the rain at times, but it certainly beat a day in the office. Was really nice to meet Tom, top fella, who despite the weather managed to keep some birds moving for me to have a crack at. Still can't belive how special ferals can be though? One particular group of 6 came in, had 2, only for the remaining 4 just to circle and come back, so had another 2, back to back left and rights, touch :D Thanks again Tom, will def make a return visit at some point cos you certainly have more piddies up there than we do down here!!

All the best :P
