soreshoulder
as another post says ive been refinishing my winchester grand european stock with tru oil and seem to be getting terrible results, ive refinished other guns where it has been applied and drys and looks really nice. On this stock when i apply it, it drys 'streaky' like doesnt spread out evenly, thing is i dont know if its me or the oil because ive had it for quite a while
demonwolf444
sometimes in oils sediment settles when left , remove all the oil from the stock, shake the bottle well , maybee warm it through a bit, ive done both these things when i got the same results and it works okay hope this helps
Lez325
when I re-finish any stock with Oil- Im wait until its almost dry and then with bare hands ( no rings or watch) and rub the stock hard, until the Oil becomes HOT- you'll feel this easily then allow to cool and dry worth a shot!
