Cosd
I'm booked to go to Dublin for a short break, staying for two days and one night. Going with the wife and another couple. Any recomendtions for lively pubs or bars? Also haven't booked accommodation yet, above the pub would be perfect or right in the city centre. Any other tips gratefully received. MM
well its well worth the effort. As for bars, just do the temple bar area, and you will have a giggle.

Fishermanpaddy
If your lookin to be in the centre then you probably couldn't go wrong with Jurys Inn or the Castle Hotel. As for lively pubs and bars, they seem to take it in turns to be lively. Your best bet is grab a local that works where your staying and ask him / her wheres happenin at the minute. If your only there for one night then you wont get much drinking done, just as well at 5 or 6 yo yos a pint. If you have a few hours to spare then i would reccomend the St James Gate tour. Hope you have a good time
