Paddy Galore!
Hi chaps, been reading up on here about crow deeks etc, and i was just wondering what time of day is best to set up, i have a few problem crows on a few of my perms but can't seem to get near them, i bought some deeks and a caller but would like to know from some of the more experienced guys if there is a golden hour when my chances might be best. I've got some amazing cover with a copse of trees and low boughs overhead, but as soon as i turn up they take flight. thanks in advance, gram. Pykie
The morning mate. Many people say first light but I go out about half 8. I didnt set up til 11 on sat and still shot 104. From personal experience the main bulk of corvids will stop coming in around lunchtime, then they will return for last feed a few hours before dark. steve_b_wales
I find the best times are first light, and late afternoon. I use a Primos Power Crow caller, which in my opinion is the best on the market. Another good bit of kit is a flapper. Put a dead crow/jackdaw on it, and the birds go wild.
