Easy hit

Recommended Posts

I am getting on a bit and started wearing glasses but when i mount the gun i see the top rim on the edge of my vision. Also my left eye takes over sometimes.Has anyone tryed these easy hit that you stick on the end the rib and are they any good

I bought one, as I had become left eye dominant after 55 years of right eye dominance (apparently quite common between 45 and 60 yrs old :-( ) and I kept seeing a flickering picture in my peripheral vision of the rib and then the left side of the gun - very offputting ! Not sure how much of it was being back to shooting after a 39+ year lay-off, and looking down the barrel instead of at the clay though. Anyhoo, fitted an Easyhit after trying a friend's gun with one on it - problem gone ! Don't get me wrong, I still miss clays, but not as much as I did, the flickering picture has gone and it is easy to keep the barrel where it should be, in the peripheral vision.

The only way for me to be sure would be to take it off and try the gun without, but I can't be ***ed with the clat of cleaning off the adhesive/refitting it etc.

If you know anyone with one fitted, see if they will let you try their gun. Some clubs/shops have easyhits that they will temporary fit with tape to let you try dry mounting with, costs nothing to ask. Good luck with your problem.

I could have written the above reply. I've had almost the same problem! fitted an easy hit and, although not perfect, I'm back to shooting with both eyes open again and hitting more than I did.

I don't think you would regret fitting one!

Good luck

browning and another company do a magnetic one that can just clip on and off about £13.00

I bought one of those off the 'bay and tried it - it was OK, but nowhere near as bright as the easyhit. Still, sold it for what I paid last Sunday, so all's well etc. :good:
