milo2005
Have you checked for air leaks and do you have any loss in power?
rascal_2005
is it when you fire or just when you engage the bolt?

deputy dog
I had trouble with my new Rapid 12 as soon as i bought it. Not the same popping noise ae you was getting, but i was losing power and the trigger wasnt't engaging tidy if a cocked it fast or slow. I asked for advice on here, but to be honest the only way i found out what was wrong with it. I took it back to the dealer, and they sent it back to Theoben. Found out my brand new gun had a faulty trigger system and thet put another brand new unit in there. I suggest you do the same mate. Better safe then sorry like. rascal_2005
are you sure air isnt blowing back from the breach, i had a similer prob! put a piece of tissue over the breech and bolt and engage it, when it pops and the tissue moves its an air leak

Elm0
Popping noise is indication of air lose under preasure ,if it only happens under fast load then my opinion would be an 0'ring somewhere maybe worn or dry ,don't know age of rifle or history but if it was my gun a strip and service would be on the cards, service kits are not overly expensive and instructions can be downloaded from rapid7owners forum and are detailed and with a small ammount of knowledge quite easy to follow ,if in doubt there are people on this forum who can do it for you and they are top notch Hope you get it sorted bud good luck
