MM
Ive been getting good chillis from my plants since spring, and some of them are bloody hot, but i picked another batch last week, and they have NO HEAT at all in them. They just taste of 'plants'. Do the plants come to the end of their life and stop making the burn-ey type ones?
guest1957
My plants have done this in the past when it hasn't been warm enough outside. Have you tried bringing them inside?

I agree, bring them inside if they aren't already. Have you used a specific food or just fed them anything? (edit:as in plant food, not burgers or do-nuts) Edited October 12, 2010 by kyska

They'll often warm up if you dry them, that's what happened to mine last year - rubbish off the plant, but fierce once dried. AB

PhilR
Hi MM, Has bringing them inside made any difference yet. My wife grew some Jalapeno and Habanera plants from seed, probably started them off a bit late, the chillies are still green on the plants and don't have any heat at all.
