Billy.
Does anyone know what the rules are with regard to selling rabbits to pubs? do I need a food handeling cert or some such like? Thanks in advance for the advice Craig I sell rabbits to a restaurant and I have no food hygiene certs etc. At the end of the day, you want to check the meat is fine, otherwise you'll be losing business if something goes wrong. Check the liver and kidneys and as your rolling the fur off them, feel for any bumps/lumps. Mixy rabbits are no risk to humans, but I'd avoid selling them, in case they've picked up another disease. Guest CraigBenson
I do all that anyway as I don't want to sell anything that I wouldn't eat myself, but wondered what the offical food hygene side of things said.
Colster
Think it only covers deer, I have been selling Rabbits to a local butcher for a while now. As said above just do the usual checks (liver etc)
