stuart21
Hi all, Just to let you know that I spent the morning with Terry (Bakerboy) yesterday at a farm in Hitchin. I have only been clay shooting for a few years and I am brand new to pigeon shooting. I found Terry's posts on this forum and contacted him straight away and for anyone who is thinking about it, then definitely do it. I really enjoyed the day and Terry really did teach me a lot. He has a real gift for teaching and an extreme passion for the sport. Terry taught me everything, safety, wind pattern/weather conditions, decoy and hide setup, distances and when and where to shoot. We also had a walk around the fields to see if anything else was out there. There were not that many pigeons around, but there were a few pheasants, crows and one rabbit. The ones I should have shot, I generally missed, so I really do need to brush up on my shooting. This was an excellent day, that was extremely good value for money and Terry is really a good guy to go shooting with. Many thanks Terry! It was an enjoyable day, despite the shortage of Pigeons. As there were not many to shoot at, you can have a free shoot at a time convenient to you , there is no point having the first part of the lesson if we cannot have the exciting part of shooting the birds . I am sure there will be more around next time and then we will have an even better day . Cheers : Terry Edited October 15, 2010 by bakerboy
