Clamps
I have had a number of plastic shell decoys for some years and they are passed there best, and i have thought that i could revamp them by attaching a pair of genuine wings to them. The question is - does any one have some tips as to how i would go about attaching real pigeon wings to plastic decoys? your thoughts would be welcome. chrispti
Get some silosocks covers cheap and brighten up up the deeks http://www.ukshootwarehouse.com/shop/SILLO...5fdtk2ivqi40is2 I have stuck real pigeon wings onto a pair of flying pigeon decoys. I just glue gunned them on, lasted a long time and worked very well http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...st&p=496862
Clamps
I had thought of silosocks, but after yesterday's outing i have quite few wing sets now (and enough meat for a couple of meals) so i think i will try the glue gun technique - thanks for the links. i will need to get a hot glue gun now. I've used elestic bands for the last 3 years, easy to use and easy to chance the wings when they're done . f3
Clamps
I tried a few elastic bands yesterday - had not had time to get glue gun. They worked a treat - adding real wings really does add an extra dimension to the pattern.

tonyrapid177mk2
thats a great idea that mate cheers. in the old days if you had glued real wings on a plastic pigeon they would have burnt you for being a witch :hmm:
Clamps
I have now got all my old plastic shells with real wings, i will have to see how they hold up being stored/transported - i think i may still invest in some silosocks for my flocked ones - to re vamp them - trouble is there are so expensive!
