Floating Chamber
It reminds me of a CZ,but no idea of the connection with Jimmy Stewart? Clue: The receiver is from a Remington .35 cal Model 8, the barrel is made from a Ford Crankshaft.

Floating Chamber
Jimmy Stewart in the film "Carbine Williams", about David Marshall Williams who designed the gas operating mechanism later used n the M1 carbine - whilst in nick! Almost! (Well done-ish!) The short-stroke piston followed later to be used in the M1 and M2. This model, (the original was only fired by two people, Williams and Stewart in the film) does not have a piston as such. Keep going! Floating Chamber
Well done! The floating chamber system led to the world's first non-recoiling barrel Semi-Auto Shotgun, the WINCHESTER MODEL 50. The gas-operated versions followed soon afterwards.
