stefnc
On the land I shoot, there is around 300m of river, obviously I can only shoot on the one side of it, as the other side is also privately owned! Now whilst rough shooting/ mooching around, I regularly see groups of 5-10 ducks not sure what type, flying around, mostly sticking to the lie of the river, I had one while foxing a few weeks about, but was just pure luck as I startled the duck and shot it as it took off. Now is there anyway I can bring the ducks closer, and Ive heard about feeding, but have no idea how to go about this! If anyone could shed any light on this would be much appreciated!!!! Just one thought, if you're "not sure what type", you should find out before you shoot any

I'd be a bit careful where your shot lands so you don't fall foul of the law. Also make sure you use non-toxic shot or you'll be breaking the law again. stefnc
the ducks on my shoot are mallard and teal, but what I meant was they are usually too high up to tell what they are!
ayano3
and if they are to high up to tell what they are they are most likely out of range anyway. Look on Basc site for the pocket book of quarry identification, thats a great start. As for getting them lower..try 34g 4 shot steel
stefnc
they are most definately out of range, thats why I wondered if anyone had any tips to bring them in more? As I fish down there they are most definately teal and mallard. Thanks!
