Cranfield
So far, a lot of the posts on this Section have been general, but Admin is aware that some good "How to" information could be lost, as the posts build up and the pages turn. If a member consider any thread on a "How to" topic should be pinned at the top of this page, please PM a Moderator and it will be considered. When posting "How to" information, please bear this in mind when constructing your thread.
Dunkield
Cranners, When a topic is pinned can it then be locked to stop people replying to it and therefore diluting the information? also removing 'answers' to a pinned thread as it is being constucted are also a bit of a pain, if they can be removed it makes the information flow a bit more - have a look at Axe's how to post picture thread for instance. If you are doing a 'how to' thread you have to wait for the 30 seconds time out before you can add to your own post, even if you have all notes ready, which means some people jump in as the thread looks incomplete. Just a thought..
Cranfield
We would pin and lock the thread , if it was a complete set of instructions. The idea would be to create a "How to" Handbook.
johnskevena
How about pinning a section on top of this section for links that people have found with complete "how to make ...." instructions and if u have a link that u think may be of some use or that someone is looking for it can be placed there
