reedbradshaw
Ive always been on and off with clay shooting, probably every other month or so id go for a quick round or so. But recently Ive been getting into it more and more. My scores are touching 40/50 at sporting with my main bogey clay the rabbit, and 20/25 at skeet as i struggle at doubles but dust the singles So, although im not at quite a winning standard, i would like to compete in some sort of beginner league with like minded people. Im based just off J28 and can travel, does anybody know of any near to me? My regular shoot is cocketts farm in Nottingham but they dont hold competitions or leagues! Cheers lads. Gordon R
If you want to improve, competitions are the way to go. I used to shoot them every week, sometimes two a day and was quite good. Winning was everything - I truly hated losing. Lads getting in to Motocross, plus the odd injury - couple serious - ruined me. I now shoot with friends for fun. I shoot okay, but the incentive is not there. I shoot 30 odd straight, then my concentration starts to wander. If there is nothing at stake, it doesn't seem to matter as much if I miss. The need to analyse where I went wrong and put it right is decreased. Good luck.
