mudpatten
Thinking of getting some of these but some, admittedly older, internet reviews suggest they are a bit flimsy. PW search engine doesn`t help very much with threads drifting off into shell decoys etc. I need something light and quickly deployable for those morning flights where the big sack of full bodies and shells is too much trouble and weight. So, if you`ve used `em, do they work and will they last? Many thanks for your thoughts which are much appreciated.
shakin stevens
Hi Mudpattern Ive never used the canada sillosocks but have used the greylag ones for the past four seasons with no bother. Only thing ive seen is a small staple in the neck which is rusting but can be replaced very easly, very fast to set up and really easy to lug big numbers thats for sure when your shooting on your own. i find the movement ok but maybe a bit to much in heavy winds thats the only fault. i find they work best in conjuction with other types of deeks and set a few out with a family just to give that bit of movement to shells, ive got the pinkfoot fuds this year to try and im going to work the sillosocks with these, and hopefully keep the weight down when walking. regards bob. steve0146
They work a treat mate. I have shot lots of geese over them in Canada. They dont last as long as the shells but then they are a fraction of the price.
