inthedark
I've just read Rimmie's thread on .223 loads, and the number of us using 22.ish gr of Vit 130/3 took me by surprise. For a long time now I've run 55g Vmax over 26.2 gr of Vit 140 to get 3,100 fps. That's a big difference in powder weight, so do tell, what speeds do you achieve on the light charge? chrisv
N140 is very slow for light bullets in a 223, most people would use something in the N130-N135 range. Have you chronographed your load, or is that the book velocity? I get around 3200 from a 50gr Vmax using N133, it will go faster, but it gives best accuracy at this speed. Hope this helps

My m8 is getting 3450 with his load with 50gr nosler moly.
inthedark
Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a go with N133.
