Do you think the BBC would announce over the airways about shoot cancellations like they do with schools NO your right they probably wo'nt as the hunting folk are not the public or even a minority group Seriously should the shoot and hunting comunity have a higher profile in todays media NEG as well as Positive so that joe and jane public might get a more balanced view of our sport or should we keep our heads down.

to be fair they also don't announce when local cricket matches or lawn bowls get cancelled. All it takes is that thing called a telephone and a bit of organisation to let people know a shoot is cancelled

AL4X i think you'v missed the point even though it was tounge in cheek. To be accepted as part of the fabric of local life in this country is it a goal we want or do we want to be left alone to take part in fieldsports below the radar .

the best option as you say is stay below the radar and carry on as we are.

We used to use radio Clyde to publicise our working terrier shows and the the director of our local Zoo (Calderpark) the late Great Richard o'Grady always gave us a mention in the Daily Record so I would use every local means as you have access to after all the BBC is owned by us all :yp:
