im thinking of putting a high seat on one of my permissions for fox shooting the spot where i want to put it i no the foxes spend a fair bit of time after the rabbits .

Have any of you shot foxes like this before or do you think im better off staying on the ground any advise would be welcome thanks

happy shooting .

I have seen more fox's from my highseat in the day time than from anywhere else, it almost makes you invisible. You will have to put the seat up and just leave it for a while for the fox's to get used to it. Try and get onto the seat before its light and maybe its best to put some bait out in a good shooting spot as half the time the little devils come and sit right below the seat making it virtually impossible to shoot em. I have studied more than I have shot as the landowner wants a healthy population left for fox hunting ( when they come across them by accident on a drag hunt of course.) Mind you it your a clumbsy oaf all you will see is a dash of red before you get the sights to your eye.

Nothing wrong with that or the first response!

All methods are worth looking at for the fox, it just depends on the population, land, demeanure...and your time availability, appropriate tree availability, etc, etc, very little is a no no with the fox, but experience and familiarity is pretty useful!
