Floating Chamber
I need a replacement barrel from the States for my Winchester Model 59. In fact, if I could get another receiver, I could build another gun! Purchasing one is no problem. Does anyone have any ideas about the legal way I can get it (them) imported? triscrx
I would have thought that your local dealer could order them from the US or you could have them delivered to them for collection on producing your License. Be interesting to know the answer
casts_by_fly
For rifles: stocks, grips, triggers, sights, scopes, etc are no problem legally to export. Some dealers don't know all of the ins and outs of exporting firearm bits so some may not do it and quote various regs. However those parts are totally fine under the federal export laws. Actions and barrels are regulated and will need an export permit and have to go through your RFD on this end. For shotguns, I'm not entirely sure about the barrels. It is a different set of regulations in the US. Rifles are US DOJ, shotguns are department of commerce. Both types of actions will also come under ATF regs for purchasing.
