Hunter
Is it a semi or bolt? Most likley needs a good scrub! Semi's produce loads of grey crud that get everywhere in the action, and will cause jams if not cleened often.. especially (cough) the 10/22 (cough)

Gemini
Do you dry-fire the rifle a lot? The reason I ask is because some rifles have firing pins that are just long enough to impact on the breech face and can cause the edge of the chamber to be peened over slightly. This can sometimes make the case stick once it has been through the obturation process, and has swollen up enough to get stuck on the swollen bit of the chamber edge. May not be the problem but worth a look see. G.M.
