Oxon88
Sorry if this topic has come up before, i couldn't find any information on it. I was wondering if when buying bullet heads (expanding), are they entered onto your certificate in the same way factory ammo is? If so, does this mean you are limited to the number you can purchase/hold at any one time?
Luckyshot
This generally depends what county you are in some do some dont, my rfd write them on and you are limited to your buy hold allowance.

Oxon88
ok thanks for the info. So how many bullet heads are usually supplied in a box? can you buy them in packs of 10?
Coolhead
The smallest I've found available is a box of 50.

Oxon88
Thats a bit unfortunate if you only have 50 to hold 40 to buy!
garyb
Indeed.. I used to have something similar... put in a call to your FLD and ask for it to be increased. Your "good reason" is Reloading... I think mine allows me to purchase 600 odd of 243 or 308 at any one time.

I wish, you would save a heap of money when finding a bullet that your rifle likes during load developement. Ian.
Coolhead
Thats a bit unfortunate if you only have 50 to hold 40 to buy! Ouch. In the short term, do you know anyone you can make a private sale from? A friendly RFD might hold stock for you if you pay for the whole box.
