mosa
Hello all i am currently looking into appling for my 1st coterminous licence although my renewal date is a while off. anyway a few questions please:- 1, What is the ruling for referees as i remember one of mine had to be a doctor etc (not sure if this is the s/gun one)? are the firearms ones close friends who know you or again professionals (would my manager at work do?) 2, Do i have to state why i want all my current calibres and reasons again? 3, Do i need permission letters to support this again? 4, Can i change the qty of my ammo and amend some slots at the same time included in the renewal notice? 5, Do you get a visit again? is it as much hastle as the 1st time? 6. If its open does it stay open? cheers in advance of any replies

drut
"1, What is the ruling for referees as i remember one of mine had to be a doctor etc (not sure if this is the s/gun one)? are the firearms ones close friends who know you or again professionals (would my manager at work do?)" Northumbria seem reasonably relaxed re: professional for SG cert(I was accepted for friends SG & not a "professional")& seem to accept clean/good standing so I would think your manager should be fine. For firearms they want people who know you socially & see you reasonably frequently according to the lady FEO I saw on last renewal so friends would be ideal. They also asked for a current permission letter.
