Just go to your local RFD and ask him. He will tell you if he is prepared to help and how much he will charge.

You need details of a RFD who will accept delivery as well, and if this is in anticipation of a sale then you MUST use a RFD!

As far as i know you take it local RFD and ask them to ship it to the buyers local (nominated) RFD cost can vary from £15-50 to send and £25 ish to receive IIRC £15 to send is minimum courier fee some RFD's charge a handling fee etc at the other end RFD enters it onto buyers cert (its as if you sell to local RFD he sells to remote RFD then to the buyer) although you have to make your own arrangements for payment with the buyer. I believe you are also responsible for the packing of the item etc.

I reconmend taking some dated photos before shipment in case of damage etc in transit, best phone local RFD's to see what they charge.

you will need the details of the rfd where the gun is to be sent, basically you go to a friendly local rfd who is prepared to do it for you, most will average price is about £25, the rfd will inspect the gun and take it on to his books and give you a receipt so you can inform the police of the disposal of the weapon, the rfd will parcel the gun up and arrange for the gun to be sent to the receiving rfd.

if you wish to retain the slot on your fac then you will have to complete form 101 for a 1 for 1 variation which will be free but must be done within 7 days
