Hi Mate,

Im a member of BOLTON AIRGUN SOCIETY, a club run by shooters, for shooters. open for just over a year. We started with a makeshift range and the bottom of a farm. We now have 4 ranges at the farm, a growing membership, with people coming from the lake district to shoot.

We are mainly a "fun" club, we are memebers of the HFT and will be holding our first round in APRIL, sponsored by Deben. We were part of the UKFTA but all the dangly bits from rifles and taking 3 years to shoot wasnt what we were about.

We charge 30 for the year, 3 quid for range fees each time you shoot, we have got a dedicated plinking range with paper targets and spinners set out from 5 to 65 yds.

HFT range with 40 knock down targets set up at various challenging ranges.

Our New "Woodland" birdie spinner range, with targets set up in the trees for an equaly challenging shooting session, cant wait for the summer to come when we get the leaves on the trees....Its hard enough now.

And we are constructing our new Paper range down on the bottom of the farm near the woodland range.

We hold monthly comps for springers and PCPs, nothing serious with megga prizes, but it gives you the opportunity if you want to put in some practice for the major rounds of the HFT.

I joined the club when it was about 3 months old, its come on leaps and bounds with members putting in time and effort. Theres no POLITICS at our club, sometimes you can get it at others and in our oppinion it ruins it. We had our first club meeting a month or so ago, everything was done on a democratic vote, there is no chairman or committee.

Benefits you get, 1st somewhere to shoot, being with a bunch of like minded people, great contacts, shoot sharing, somewhere to get away from the wife on a sunday........

Our lads are from bolton, wigan, the lakes, suburbs of manchester, liverpool and the surrounding areas.

But thats just our club.....

Yeh, I know of it. Not been so couldnt tell you what its like.

Assume that you are mobile, our place aint far from the reebok stadium in bolton, more that welcome to come down and have a look for yourself if you want.

We are there every sunday, from about 9.30 onwards. Im not there this weekend coz Im moving house.

Am I allowed to post the web link here admin?

If you want to pop down drop me a line, Ill arrange to have someone show you around. - Oh, we shoot outside, like real men.....there is an "indoor" section that you shoot from - a converted insulated artic back box from a wagon.

None of this soft indoor shooting for us, give us wind, give us rain, give us sun, give us snow............We're just not too keen on fog as when that comes down it makes things very interesting...
