Me and an ex work colleague spent the sfternoon creeping along the banks of the river wensum after some chub, sorry but no photos, we both had 2 fish pauls were 5lb 6oz and about 3lb 8oz, mine were 5lb 3oz and a smaller one about 2lb, all 4 were caught on stinky cheese paste link ledgered in slack water behind bushes and in the edge, a fantastic afternoon apart from th biting cold wind howling down the valley, cant wait til next weekend to get at them again

Brilliant...

Ive only fished the Wensum a couple of times when ive been staying with my Sister in law.

Thats a great stretch of River and Chub are great sport this time of year.

I like to try Lobbies and big slugs in the Autumn. It seems to sort out the better fish and theres always a chance of a clonking Perch on the Lob.

I'll be thinking of you this weekend when Im stuck indoors tiling the Bathroom. :/

Catch one for me too. ;)

ive been out on the wensum again today, had 2 fish 4lb 10oz and another about 3lb, lost 2 fish and missed 2 bites when it was too dark to see the tip, the fish didnt start to feed until dusk, i think they stay well hidden in the day to avoid the plague of otters that now roam all norfolks rivers since the otter trust at earsham turfed its residents out into the wild, we found 5 dead fish on the bank that werent there last week, if anyone has otter on their FAC give me a call, will be going again next week to see if we can get a fwe more
