Berretta choke

Blue is a Cylinder choke.

Slightly more open :good:

That's assuming it's one of the Optima chokes that have been around a while. I was looking at an SV10 the other week and I see that the extended chokes on them are completely different, but they're colour-banded. Not sure the colours are the same on the new ones :hmm:

i think you'll find that the the 'standard' beretta optima skeet uk (red band) is more open than cylinder.

aftermarket chokes, teague / briley, the skeet is between cylinder and quarter.

beretta do a skeet usa (purple band) that is between cylinder and quarter.

not sure if its the same for the optima hp with the prevail etc, but thats the way the 'standard' optima (682 gold e / 391 sporter) work.

skeet is actually, 0.005" which is exactly 0.005" tighter than 0.000" which is cylinder.

i actually started using cyl / cyl set for my clay slaying. cant say it has improved my scores though.

optima skeet - red band is not constricted, it is bored over cylinder size.

this is not the case for mobil chokes.
