rifle scope

Nick is right..it would be silly to change the scope every time you wanted to fire a different rifle

why not spend the most on the 223 then get 2 cheaper scopes for the 17hmr and the 22Lr

or at least spend the money on the rifle you will use the most

No no no no not Scope swapping

They have all got Scope on

Was going to get a new one for the 223 :good:

Then do like Jasper3 and garyb said,

sort the decent glass on the HMR, and the next best on the .22

So my 223 scope will go on my HMR and the HMR scope will go on the .22

fair enough.

you'll not find an illuminated reticle top brand scope for £500,

and personally i like a bit more than 8x mag on a .223. so........

either forget about i.r., add a bit more money and find a second hand Swaro 4-12x50 or similar (£650 or so, second hand as i recall).

or go cheaper if you really want i.r. and get a

Nikko Sterling Platinum Nighteater 30mm IR 4-16x50 for about £200.

or i have a rather nice Nikon Monarch 3 for sale ;)

which you can have for £350 posted.

depends on budget - i've got a Swaro and Zeiss on mine respectively ;)

the Nikko above would be good on the .17hmr.

i'd get a fixed mag (x8) on the .22lr with a mildot ret for judging holdover - Hawke are good lenses (though i've had issues with build quality). Again Nikko are worth a look.
