Weight can be both your friend and enemy - I've got Napier and Beretta style cases that have their own freq flyer cards and had a Browning Travel Vault that failed after two flights. .... For the Beretta plastic type, extra foam inside stops flexing and several good winds of brown parcel tape after baggage check work wonders ....
