fortune82
When I got home yesterday there was a letter inviting me to a free half day landrover off road experience. I booked my place for April and it is all totally free. I expect they will try to flog me one of their trucks. Has anyone been on one of these? What should I expect? I have opted for a good old Defender. Should I expect a bit of dirt track driving or will it be proper mud plugging? Thanks
berties
We did one years ago near Exeter on a launch of a limited freelander and it was a bit gentle green lane type driving,a BBQ cup of tea ,hard sell and see you latter ,I drive through more mud taking the dog for a walk but it was a day out, enjoy some one elses hospitality
J@mes
My missus has one booked in a Range Rover Sport in March at Rockingham Castle. If they use the same course as I took my Disco 3 round when I went there on a "drive your own" day, it will be quite testing with steep descents, wading, axle twisting and plenty of sloppy mud to try and keep control in! I did a half day in a Defender at the LR Experience, Newton Longville site and then a full day in a RR TDV8 and it was testing as J@mes said above. All done on road tyres too. Good fun so enjoy yourself, there wasn't any product selling at all.
Psyxologos
I went on twice last year. Once with a Freelander 2 and once on a Range rover Sport. Great fun. I learned so much and never thought my Freelander 2 could do all these things we did on the day...
UKPoacher
Does it include half a day laid under it with a spanner and hammer in your hands?
