HDAV
Been looking for a while for a cheap 20 bore O/U..... It's a long shot and not really found anything suitable. I have been offered a Berretta Whitewing 20 bore its 28" M/C. Having done a search it seems they came out as cheaper Berretta, some mention of it around 2005/6 where prices were around the £700 mark for a lightly used one! Have prices gone up since then? How much were they new? The one i have been offered is alot more than £700! How does/would it compare to the later "lower cost" Berrettas? And alternatives like, Lincoln Premier? Bettinsoli? Franchi etc Edited February 15, 2011 by HDAV
The Burpster
If it fits and you like it then it is a cracking gun for not much dosh. Its basically a 680 box lock action on Mobil choke tubes. IIRC it doesnt have a rib between the barrels and will handle really quick. It will have have basic wood. My O/U is a black onyx 686 and I love it - it has taken some very fine shots in its life and is a keeper. Oh its in a different league to the other 2 you mentioned, its still very much a Beretta, but made to be inexpensive. arjimlad
I was selling a 12b whitewing for a pal and £650 was the best I could get for it, even in as new condition with case, chokes, manual etc.
