i have a lightning with a strut in it as well, a lot smoother i think. ive used webley lazapells well through mine, as well as rws superdomes. all barrels are different though so you'd be best trying a few different until you find one that suits it best.

good luck with it!

yea. there very smooth cocking action is good, and as you can leave them loaded for longer periods of time its just that more conviniant then a spring. im basically going to use it for hunting so i might try supper h points, i am currently using daystate ft and am managing ok groupings but wouldnt mind trying a few diffrent brands. cheers m8 lee.

Gas Rams probably take more damage being left cocked for long periods of time then a spring, as you have all the seals. Teh only time springs get soften enough to reduce velocity, is when they are used a lot. its all the movemet that weakens the high tensile steel, no the fact it is squashed.. thats not how the metal behaves like many people still think to this day. ;)

Spring technology has gone very far now with new steel making procceses

thats a fair point, i never looked at it that why, some peeps say when you leave a springer cocked the amount of fps that is lost isnt even worth moaning about, its that low

THEORETICALLY the first shot after leaving a springer cocked for a long time is MORE POWERFUL than the next shots taken immediatley afterwards.
