George1990
The only car in the world where it is commonly accepted that buying a thirty year old model and then restoring, renewing and rebuilding it is far superior to the modern factory built version. But don't worry yourself about heated seats ; the old Defender wiring loom couldn't handle one watt more. It already struggles with four lights, four indicators and a set or wipers. Pleased to see you appreciate that simplicity is best too. Be nice to see where your plasticy forester is in 30 years time. My Land Rover will still be on the drive. My Land Rover will still be on the drive. Reminds me of that 'Only Fools & Horses' sketch where Trigger boasts about having the same road sweepers brush for over twenty years then goes on: "Mind you. It's had 11 new handles and 18 new heads in that time."
